Adaptive eLearning@ALTC is an ALTC-funded, cross-university project to develop and disseminate a set of Adaptive Tutorials targeting threshold concepts in Engineering Mechanics.

Adaptive Tutorials are highly engaging educational activities that mimic one-on-one tutoring by intelligently adapting to student's misconceptions and providing timely feedback.

The following universities are participating in the project:

  • University of New South Wales
  • RMIT University
  • University of Melbourne
  • University of Technology Sydney
  • University of Wollongong
  • University of Tasmania

The project's second workshop will be open to the public. Attendees will learn about the Adaptive eLearning approach and will get hands-on experience with developing Adaptive Tutorials using the Adaptive eLearning Platform.

You may also find this exciting educational technology applicable in other areas of study; we will discuss various applications such as Medicine (e.g. Virtual Patients and Virtual Slides), Biology (e.g. Virtual Laboratories), Business Simulations, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and others.
